Uno All Wild

No matching required. Every card lets you pick the color. Pure chaos.

👥 2–10 Players⏱️ 20–40 Minutes🎂 Ages 7+📊 Easy Difficulty

1 Overview

Uno All Wild removes the color-matching mechanic entirely. Every single card in the deck is a wild, you choose any color whenever you play any card. The number or action printed on the card still resolves, but color is always your choice.

2 Gameplay

Players take turns playing one card from their hand onto the discard pile. Since every card is wild, you can always play on your turn, you are never blocked. Declare the new active color after playing. The next player must follow the number or action shown, but plays any card of their choice.

If you cannot or choose not to play (rare in All Wild since you always can), draw one card and optionally play it.

3 Card Types

  • Numbered Wild (0–9): Play and choose a color. No special effect beyond changing color.
  • Wild Skip: Next player loses their turn. You choose the color.
  • Wild Reverse: Reverses direction of play. You choose the color.
  • Wild Draw 2: Next player draws 2 cards and loses their turn. You choose the color.
  • Wild Draw 4: Next player draws 4 cards and loses their turn. You choose the color.
  • Wild Draw Color: New in All Wild. Next player draws cards until they draw the color you declare. They can draw many cards, or none if the first card matches.
  • Wild Targeted Draw 2: New in All Wild. Choose any player (not just the next one) to draw 2 cards.

4 Winning

Play your second-to-last card and call "UNO!" before anyone else notices. Play your last card to win the round. Score opponent hands to 500 to win the game. Number cards = face value; action cards = 20 points each; Draw 4 and Draw Color = 50 points each.

5 Strategy

Wild Draw Color Is the Deadliest Card

In standard Uno, Draw 4 is the worst card to receive. In All Wild, Wild Draw Color can be catastrophic, declare a color your opponent has few of and they could draw 6, 8, or more cards. Play it when opponents have small hands to maximize damage.

Targeted Draw 2 Changes Everything

Unlike standard Uno where Draw 2 always hits the next player, Targeted Draw 2 lets you hit whoever is closest to winning. Use it to knock back the player with one card left, not necessarily the one next in line.

Control the Color

Since you always choose the color, push colors your opponents have few of. Pay attention to what colors they play when they have a choice, it reveals what they're holding.

6 How It Differs from Classic Uno

  • No color matching, every card is wild, every turn you pick the color
  • You can always play on your turn, being "stuck" doesn't happen
  • Wild Draw Color replaces the standard Wild card
  • Targeted Draw 2 lets you choose who draws, not just the next player
  • Gameplay is faster and more chaotic; rounds end quicker
